wingell 0 Posted August 9, 2009 In Philadelphia, the legendary soft pretzel could be enjoyed at any time--even while dashing along Market Street, perhaps during a shopping-punctuated lunch hour. More than 40 years later, that tasty tradition continues, and it's well-worth the calories. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted August 9, 2009 a well-captured moment as she concentrates on biting into the pretzel... great background particularly with the dude heading towards her, the policemen goose-stepping (well, almost), and the lady nearly across in the far distance Link to comment
wingell 0 Posted August 9, 2009 Thanks, Rajat--I lucked out with the location of those background people and the trolley tracks and street traffic lines. They all give the image a depth it wouldn't have had otherwise. Obviously, this really was a grab shot. If you ever get to Philly, try a pretzel--and don't forget the mustard. Cheers...Bill Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted October 27, 2009 This demonstrates a meaningful connection between subject and background: dynamic stride repeated by pedestrian and police officer in background, clothing style repeated by male figure, curve of curb repeated in manhole covers which reinforce the converging perspective. The moment is well frozen, with a suggestion of boy-meets-girl in the offing. Link to comment
