tidris 0 Posted August 7, 2009 There seem to be unusually lots more butterflies around in Wales this Summer. Link to comment
vancouverphotographer 1 Posted August 8, 2009 Terrific colours - I need to get some more butterfly shots. Link to comment
stemked 4 Posted August 8, 2009 This is one of the better butterfly shots I've seen in a while; the animal look great (no torn wings), lovely color, great background color, well positioned in the frame, well angled to get the max depth of field, and a great textured surface for the butterfly to be on. A textbook-perfect image. The only thing I wonder about that might be a tiny bit distracting to such a stunning image is the blurry black item (leaf?) in the middle bottom part of the image. tidris 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Thank you Dale and Douglas. As for the black item in the foreground, I did wonder about cloning it out after having taken the shot but I just left it. The original idea had been to give the butterfly a sense of direction which wasn't into a void. I will try clearing it to see what it looks like. Link to comment
