I was happy with the color version, but I think the conversion to b&w made for a more dramatic rendering. This was taken in early spring, early March actually. Most of the country experiences spring in April, May or even June. Bakersfield, California looks best starting in late February and continues to look like spring well into April, so we get a head start. Please consider the Larger preview before launching any 3/3's. Thanks for your time!

Oh my, oh my. Mark this is just outstanding! The tones, the tones! What a wonderful feeling of light this image displays. So very well done and your processing skills have never been more evident.

I told you we'd win you over to the dark side one day and now that day has arrived it seems. You've sold me on this one. Very fine work.

Mark, this is excellent, as you already know. At first I thought that the FG bright bits were a distraction but then I realised that I was wandering all over the image. This is one of those very pleasing shots that has many points of interest beyond the initial view.

Thanks Leo, Ton and Jeff. Sorry Leo and Ton for the length of time to acknowledge your comments. I have been away for vacation and these days, my P.N. time has been reduced to mostly posting every once in awhile. Jeff, the wildflowers are more apparent in the native res file. I'm with all three of you, I really think this one has alot going for it. Thanks again!

The light here is just wonderful Mark, the flowers stand out so brilliantly too. I think I might know that tree, or at least, one very very similar!
