may_tam 0 Posted August 7, 2009 This is a very lovely picture. I like how Shelly kind of blends in with the white background. My only question. Was it your intention to take the picture from a low angle to emphasize the chin? It certainly does give her an air of confidence. I just wonder if it would be as effective if your angle was a bit higher, then she would have to lift her gaze and it might open her eyes up a bit more. Just a thought. Again, great picture! william_staniforth 0 Posted August 7, 2009 Thanks for the comments , my work doesn't attract many ! May , I take your point about the V.P. I was trying to give her a " regal " look .... some you win ... In the original shot her hair was dark brown ( it could be red next week ) , she is after all a teenager . Link to comment
beaz 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Like May, I wondered at the angle when first viewing this image. However, I really think it works here. Very nice HK tones. Regards, Jerry Link to comment
william_staniforth 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Thanks Jerry , I will try again with a higher V.P. Now it's been pointed out I can't take my eyes off her chin ! It's good to have fresh eyes to view and comment . Regards , Bill Link to comment
david_l._forney 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Very nice job, William. Have you ever tried starting with a black channel image as the base and then layering the full B&W on top and blend? David Link to comment

iavor_paskalev 0 Posted August 30, 2009 Very nice job William! Graphic high key, beautiful composed, nice mood here, the frame and the eyes work well together. Eyes are over 2/3 of high of the frame, which also add some dignity. May be worth to see more the eyelashes - it will contribute to the model character. Best regards Bill and thanks again for your comments on my photos, Iavor Link to comment
