On the road to Jodhpur...

Digital photography allows the taking of thousands of pics on ones

travels - it is easy to overlook a winner so it pays top revisit those old

folders! Here's one I dug out taken almost 2 years ago....

Good portrait.

I like this portrait. It speaks of the subject's long and probably interesting (at least to me) life. The B&W conversion is a nice touch, allowing the eye to focus on the subject's face. He seems to be pleased with where he is in life and is relaxed. There seems to be an inner joy shining from within, as seen in the crinkles around the eyes. I also like the contrasting shades of gray in his beard.

...Thanks one and all for your kind comments. This fine gentleman greeted our party as we stopped for refreshments on the long road from Ranakpur to Jodhpur. A totally charming character with smiling eyes and a benign manner. The B&W conversion, cropping and a few adjustments improved the orignal no end. Thanks again for dropping by, Cheers, RickDB
