terrific shot!... and yes, it is time for some socks without holes...

I just added this to "My Favorites".  I love the contrast of the strong vertical, horizontal and diagonal lines.  I also love the difference in the "temperatures" of the warm red/browns of the buildings and the contrast with the cooler blue/greys of the sky and water.  This is work I aspire to do myself.

Hi Alf, this is a stunning shot of Salthouse Dock. The colours and reflections are superb, you caught this just at the right time.

I worked on these docks when the original refurb was done, there has been big changes to the Albert Dock area over the years and I played quite a part in it.

Many thanks for your interest and kind words. The whole place is steeped in history and I guess since you worked on here, you are a part of that and must feel a great deal of empathy with the area. I love what they have done with the old buildings, but I can't say I'm a big fan of the new ones. This part at least remains untouched and still looks great at the right time of day.
