karolostrivizas 2 Posted August 5, 2009 Looking at the thumbnail Maurizio, from the strong warm light and the deep blue of the sea I was sure that the photo was captured somewhere in our Ionian or Adriatic Seas…….. Your composition with the girl’s golden hair in the f/g and the sea’s color are the strongest points of this wonderful portrait…..my warm congrats.......... aarkp 2 Posted August 5, 2009 A fine, satisfying, clever composition... the ropes and the wooden rails against the textured blue affirms a boat... we see enough of the woman squinting into the sun to imagine her comfortably ensconed at the rail of the boat awaiting landfall -- the arm resting on the wooden handrail, fingers in calm repose, one bare knee angled up -- her hair flying backwards seems to affirm the forward movement of the boat in the direction of her gaze, the glimpse of white at her shoulder (read with the bare knee) suggests a summery dress -- with minimal 'exposure' much is suggested, the picture completed in the mind of the viewer ... fine literature Link to comment
