Dragonfly

I just love taking insect images with my favourite lens - the 20mm. In

the context of photo.net I know these type of images often get much

less attention than some big eye-to-eye portraits or strong colors.

For those of you who take the time to enlarge - thanks. This dragonfly

was captured in the middle of the Namib Desert, a rare opening going

down to an otherwise subterranian river. It is very difficult to

freeze this amazing feat of nature into an image - but maybe with

these elaborate caption you understand why I believe this to be a

special image.
