I think this is the best shot in your presentation. I feel also that The camera more to the right, keeping the man's expression visible in the frame was better. As for your forum post about a style, I agree with you that so far, the 5 pictures in your presentation have too little in common to define a style. Among the photographers on photo.net who have a real style of theor own, you could think of Igor Amelkowitch - spelling ? -, Ian MacEachern, Tony Dummett, Chris Battey, Emil Schildt, Jorg Grundler, Miguel Mealha, Stephane Bourson, and a few others of course - I can't name them all.

You will then maybe notice that all these people are actually among the very best photographers on this site. I don't think this is a coincidence. I believe it takes years of experience and trials and errors in all kinds of fields of photography, to, at one point, manage to be really yourself with a camera, or in the lab.

My personal feling about my own work is that I am just starting to have something that could maybe soon be called a style - hopefully. So far I have been really shooting all kinds of things, and only lately did I discover "Yeah, this is what I really want to do".

For me, it started with executing some pictures for myself, not for clients, and after I had done about 20 pieces, I thought: "look, that may soon ressemble a so-called style..." :-) I think you have to shoot and shoot and shoot, and some day, you will look at a few pieces of your work, and identify them as "really yours". That day, you'll be, I think, on the way to have a style. Regards.

Fantastic. Bresson would agree with me when I say that you certainly caught the descisive moment here!

The noticeboard to the left distracting. I think this picture would look better in colour.
