I'm just getting back into photography and have recently transferred

most of my old slides to digital. I'm hoping to get some pointers as I

start working with digital.

Williamsburg has always been one of my favorite places to shoot - especially the grounds of the Governor's Palace....in spite of it being full of tourists, there are still some places where you can find total solitude.

Beautiful composition.  I liked the way you framed the boat using the green surroundings.  The white boat really stands out.

Thanks so much.  I took this a LONG time ago and got lucky!

After I got my old slides transferred to digital, I was amazed at how much better a little crop and sharpening could make an old picture look.
