Very nice. The long line of the boardwalk gives a sense of the vastness of the scene (and experience).

thanks Jeff and David for your comments and support...well I avec been circling around the sailing school several times during holidays and will add some others when I have the time to edit them.

I like the way the lighting creeps in from above and particularly like the foreground reflection of light in the water. The sharpness of the dock, leading us on a pathway to the group of young guys is nicely handled, as is the protective cove of the landscape and the color of the boats dotting the water. I like the way the colorful sail way in the background catches the waning sunshine. There's peace and warmth here.

It " shouts" silence, the atmospher is very pleasnt. I like the path with the people at the end, very nice DOF that leads ME inside too.I like the soft light and the angle done by the moving boat like "framing "the other resting ones. They are adding as well points of subdued color to the whole, really nice timing and well composed .

Thanks Pnina and Fred for your comments...

Fred...for me this photo means the end of the afternoon...the daily activitity comes to an end and the night activity has not started...I think the back light (due to the fact that it washes the colors and make them less shouting) is partly responsible for the quiet and silent feature that you express...I am glad you seem to view it as I do...

Pnina...I feel the same kind of shouting silence when viewing this image...probably it's due to the back light and some symmetry of the composition that is responsible for the frozen time and silent feature...as you know although I try to think about light and composition before shooting, I am here doing an attempt to spontaneously capture the ambient mood more than anything else...
