Ghost of Pucajirca

After a night of heavy valley rain and mountain snow, Peru's Pucajirca Norte emerged from fog to reveal it's stunning form. This image was taken after sunrise, allowing the sidelighting to help define the glacier below. f11, gitzo tripod. The newly frosted mountainside in the early cool blue light of dawn made the color image equally haunting.
