Well the work is very interesting and setting of a work shop is also interesting overall the treatment of black and white nice. Thanks for sharing your work MJ

Unusual place for a crucifix and not exactly the blond haired angelic type I'm accustomed to seeing. Much more character than that. It's compelling, but I can't figure out what it is.

Every miracle takes work. It's interesting that you've surrounded a suffering carpenter with tools of the trade.

It's good to hear from you both.

My husband and I were in Calgary recently seeing my son. His friends have a puppet theatre there called "the Old Trout Puppet Workshop".

http://www.theoldtrouts.org/ (check it out if you feel so inclined)

He took us over to their shop/hangout.

This is from one of their productions. They do some very interesting and original work. This was taken inside their workshop, at night. It is quite a facinating place.

Jeff, I didn't arrange anything. This was just sitting there waiting for me to see it. The strangness of a crusified Jesus next to carpenter tools is what appealed to me.

Thank you and best wishes.

I don't know why but the first thing I thought of was Nixon giving his double peace sign as he boarded the helicopter that finally got him out of our White House. Even the expression is a bit Nixonian. Now, this of course says nothing about either Nixon or Jesus . . . and likely a lot about me. Cool shot. Even the harshness of the flash seems well placed and appropriate. This is no romanticized view of a religious icon. It's hard core.

Ha! You are right. I didn't notice until you pointed it out, it does look like Nixon. He has the same uncomfortable stiffness, the big, sad, long suffering face, and of course the peace sign. Thanks for the different perspective.

As was already written, it is a very different Jesus, not only in sight but also its location, somehow brings him to earth... and his face, eyes! are so different like not seeing( blind? ...) Bizarre and interesting find.
