karolostrivizas 2 Posted July 31, 2009 Excellent ‘theatrical’ portrait Douglas creatively presented. Beautiful, nicely contrasting color tones. Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted August 5, 2009 I love the color work and the expressiveness of this. It's got a very digital, contemporary feel. Nice use of focus, without going over the top, to accentuate your message, conveying depth and mood. The way the focus almost abstracts her hair decorations is very effective. One distracting element: You seem to have grayed out or lowered the levels on the white spectral highlights to the right of her head. Given what's going on in the shot, I don't think leaving them white (like the ones above her head) would be distracting. Everything feels so fresh and raw, but that looks a bit touched up. dougbrill 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Hi Fred, The grey lights on the right side of her head are interesting. I did not notice that until you pointed it out. It was not intentional, I did not do any type of processing to create that, I may now try to brighten them a little to make them white and vibrant as the others. As always, thanks for taking the time to look and for the comments Link to comment
