This is not digitally altered... It is digitally Created, and it is an abstract design.

Since there is no specific category for an image such as this I have used the 'Abstract' category.

I am also aware that it is not a 'photo' abstract and, as such, is not welcomed by some. However I feel that the use of editing tools to explore color, composition, texture and so on helps hone the skills of any creative photographer. That is why I do these images and present them in the 'Abstract' category.
