I met this friendly and cheerful miner in the small Canadian town of

Stewart, located in North Western British Columbia by the Alaskan

border……………..

From Stewart, somebody enters Alaska USA at the small village of

Hyder, from where a dusty mountain road, passing through impressive

wilderness, leads to many abandoned and working gold mines.

……………..(please, full screen view is recommended)………………….. Your

critique will be much appreciated…….… Many thanks.

Wonderful facial expression, full of optimism and positive attitude and really strong eye contact. Great beard and shining teeth details enrich the overall impact of this excellently captured portrait. Congrats, Karolos.

wonderful portrait of this man enjoying life.

It"s a fantastic shot, and I see you have many great portraits ... congrats ... you seem to have a wonderful communication and effect on your models.

For this one, however, altough it's great, I'm convinced it has much more potential. Just some experimenting with the levels allready is - in my humble optic - leading very simply to much more impact.

How much for wich channel is of course personal taste, but I found a good result with

- RGB : white slider untill 211

- Reds : center slider lowered to 95

- Blue : white slider up to 241

With respect, no critic, just personal opinion ... Piet

Despite his age, and probably a life of very hard work....I love the 'sparkle' in this old fellas eyes.....great capture Karolos.....I'm sure he has many 'a story' to tell.....and ones yet to 'experience'. Congrats....great shot....I saw this one on your other site....but I'm still having trouble getting on it....my computer is still freezing up...but I'll keep trying!!!! sincerely, Gail
