An intense downpour washed across a flat of mulch-covered soil, leaving

some interesting patterns. Thanks for visiting, and any feedback. Trying

to decide if this would land well as a print, or not.

Your conversion is well done...the detail is very good as well... I would like it as a large piece...but from a marketability stand point...it might fare better in a smaller triptych style piece with 2 other images that are similar.

Congrats on a good eye...

It's funny you should mention that, Ken - I have two other images that immediately came to mind as I was playing with this one. They might just get along, actually. Thanks!

Ah great minds think alike...;) I've had some luck selling those printed 11 x 14 ish matted and framed...I'd love to see the completed project.

so finally you've come over to the dark side. About time although I wonder who that strange git on your front page is ;-)))

Seriously though, I like this kind of photo very much. To a lot of people this may not seem much but the way you play with light, texture, structure and form I find very appealing. There is some real depth here that is almost palpable. Very good. This would feature nice in any book about photography.

I must admit, Ton, the black-and-white bug has bitten me. This month, anyway. Next month I'll probably end up taking hummingbird pictures (no! stop me!).

Actually, I spent a lot of time in the darkroom when I was a wee lad, and I'm just sort of astounded at the level of control - and the beauty of the output - that's possible these days, without the toxic room o' doom. I frequently look over your work to remind myself to reign in the contrast, and pay attention to sensible tones. Glad you like my mulch pile!

Oh, and that git on my profile page is just a stunt double. He came with the vest, so I thought I'd use him, to look official.
