GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 24, 2009 There were so many ropes etc. on board....I couldn't find a way to make the image really 'pop'...almost too much detail on board....so I tried a Real Grain Solarized Film effect....not sure if it helped much....comments welcome...tnks Gail Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted July 24, 2009 You have don a great job with this image Gail. It captures the `soul' of wooden boats... and those who own and love them. What more could anyone ask?As a man with a deep 'spiritual' attachment to the sea, and to wooden vessels I can only say Thank You for this wonderful photo. Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 24, 2009 Thank you so much for your 'ratings'....I am very amiss at looking at those who do not leave a comment...plse forgive me if I've doen so in the past....I'm trying to remember to pay particular attention to 'these' people...for not everyone has time to jot a few lines. I know if I did....I would be rating all day!!!!....thanks again for your support....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 24, 2009 I wish I had as much of a 'connection' to the sea and these vessels as you Dave; those who do seem to be very passionate about these 'loves' in their lives.....I can't imagine being 'Corky' and not being able to keep up with all there is to do to keep these vessels in tip top shape. But for being 81 years old...he has the 'spirit' and it 'gleams' in his eyes.........what more could one ask??? Link to comment

Guest Guest Posted July 26, 2009 This is a real sailor sitting onboard his wonderful boat. This is how it should be, shipshape. Great capture once again from you Gail and wonderful details and colors. Take good care and all the best from Jannica Link to comment
billsymmons 0 Posted July 26, 2009 You know, the ropes and "seeming clutter" show a life style and a character of the owner. What a wonderful environment for a series of documentary shots and environmental portraits of "Corky". Maybe even a small book ( Blurb ) on the life of a boat and it's owners. Kind of a Black Beauty on water. Just a thought, Good work. All my best, Bill Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 26, 2009 Actually we'd decided to correspond and since Phil Bolger (boat designer and original owner) killed himself, Corky is 'freeer' to divulge info....(muddy water there I think so will have to be careful) nonetheless....he is full of stories....thankyou for your kind comments....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 26, 2009 Thankyou for your comment....exposure 'et all' are so important to me.....feels good to have that assurance from others....sincerely, Gail Link to comment
