Thanks for your visit. I chose a square crop and a more or less central position for the berries as the leaves seem to surround them protectively. Kind of like a nest for them. Best, LM.

Nice square ,with the berries and leaves in diagonal direction . The green leaves are like huging the beries, it is also complementary colors. Good light, sharpness, and shallow BG.

You mean like the hand of a leafy giant? :-) The contrasting colours do add impact. I guess that's what initially caught my eye on the forest floor. Best, LM.

Taken at one of my favourite locations, Willow Creek, Midhurst, On. I always find something satisfying to photograph there & this one was my favourite of a recent outing. Thanks for your visit. Best, LM.

we should get together for a coffee or a shoot, how bout the elmvale zoo

Monday, Wednesday or Fridays work best for me

I bought a new, actually old discontinued, Pentax DA lens 18-55 zoom lens today, it was reduced by one hundred bucks at Henrys, works well on my DSLR

Coffee OR a shoot? How about both? Elmvale has a Tim Horton's, a convenient meeting spot. All of those days could work for me. Stay tuned for confirmation of one of them. I'll contact you directly. Gotta test out a recent CLA on one of my XG-M's & the zoo might just be the place to do it. This shot of the Red Berries is an example of serendipity found in most outings, an unplanned bonus just for getting out there. Hmmm, now there's a topic for a forum thread! Best, LM.

Film revival? Film cameras are all I have, except for the times when I borrow my wife's Canon A540 P&S that I usually take along as a backup. The truth is that I often get equal or better photos with the P&S except for the times I want to limit DOF as with this photo or my recent post on the red maple leafs. Thanks for your interest. Best, LM.
