mdc002 3 Posted July 22, 2009 Nice composition! It creates a feeling of loneliness. It might be interesting to convert this shot to B&W. Link to comment

alex_huggett 0 Posted July 23, 2009 Nice capture, I like this a lot, very simple. The texture of the water is interesting and the seaweed is nicely placed and, of course, the colour works really well.I like that almost endless horizon as well. I wonder if you could crop the sky a lot closer to the horizon and try to give it some more definition in PP? Unfortunately the haze on the horizon detracts from the overall effect, IMHO, and you might be better pulling attention back onto the water. It's an excellent capture, thanks for sharing. kurt2006 0 Posted July 26, 2009 KE, this is my third favorite of your series. I partly agree with Alex's comment about the haze and the cropping of the sky. However, I feel you have achieved an excellent compositional balance between water and sky with the blue giving more depth and scale and feeling of vastness to the lake. The bright orange tumbleweed is perfect in the pink water. Maybe you are expert at Photoshop? You could do what Alex suggests by cropping off the horizon sharply and adding a "fake sky" from one of your other images so that the lake become infinite into the horizon. This is Tuz Golu, right? I think your Salt Lake is lovelier than the American one. Link to comment
