Nice composition and color, marred by the leaf(?) at upper right.

Nice work! What is visible at upper right is redundant, IMO.

Object at upper right is distracting, otherwise mighty fine.

I echo the other's sentiments about that ' other bit'.

Attractive composition and presentation; lovely colours. I can see why others might find the bud at the top RH corner distracting yet, arguably, it adds an interesting asymmetry to the image.

Thanks for the counter argument. I obviously intentionally left the upper right bud in the composition to give the image more intererst and asymetry. I'm glad someone else agrees with my decision. Eliminating the upper right bud would be an easy thing to do with Photoshop and I certainly considered that option.

Simehow including the uer right bud doesn't bother me. If forms part of the composition. Thebright & striking colours of the subject is very prominent against the muted bg.

Welcome back, it is a long time. I like that bizarre flower form,and the upper closed bud is a counterpoint to the open one, and I like it, very good light and color palette,
