murphymj4803 0 Posted July 19, 2009 A superb shot that is gorgeous to this Midwesterner’s eye along with your presentation which is over the top in originality makes this photo simply excellent! Link to comment
stupski 0 Posted July 19, 2009 Besides capturing a beautiful place, you've captured a beautiful moment as well. I agree with others that this presentation is incredibly original, especially for us photographers who care about the minute detail you have here. Great thinking cap you have there. (and thanks for the nice rating on my egret photo!). I'll have to look at more of yours, as I really like your ideas as well as your shots. Gorgeous colors, btw. Link to comment

miguel_valvano 0 Posted July 26, 2009 Mike, this is very nice. My only comment is that the polarizer was turned a bit too much and the clouds do not look natural. Or perhaps it is a sharpening problem...not sure, but there is something weird with those clouds. Link to comment
mikeoday 0 Posted August 4, 2009 Thank you everyone for your kind words and encouragement - much appreciated as always. Thanks Marta, Pedro and Tom! Thanks for the encouragement Michael - I guess I'm lucky to live on the coast; although I don't always thinks so when the humidity starts to rise in late spring! D.L., Keith and Fabrizio thank you very much for kind words; I am pleased that you like the scrap-book concept. Thanks Miguel. You are surely right about the clouds. I think it is probably down to the HDR technique ('ham-fisted' tone mapping!) rather than the polariser though. All the best to you all, Mike Link to comment
