Madeleine, I looked through your portfolio before placing this comment. You have very good images and obviously know what you are doing so my comments here are purely meant to help.

I think the use a circular polarizing filter here would have reduced the haze on the hills and mountains in the background. There is also the possibility that it would have reduce the intensity of the reflection in the water but I think it still would have been fine. I would also suggest increasing contrast and saturation to add more dynamic color in the hills and sky. This looks like a very beautiful place.

I would like to go along with the comments from Douglas. Maybe also some tighter cropping; taking away most of the right side (brown hill) and maybe even the tip of the mountains leaving only their reflection in the water.
