Sukru Kaptan

Sukru Kaptan said he feels tired after more than 20 years of carrying tourists with his small, all-wooden boat, "Yasin".

He had too many stories to tell...

The reddish cast is due to reflections & I wanted to keep it as such.

I like the composition, the point of view and the saturated red. It looks more like a magazine illustration than a photograph.

I am happy that you did find this one worthy of your attention.

In spite of the overall lukewarm reception, I still like this photo! And, not only on its "memory value", I believe!

The saturated reds (and in fact the overall "off" color balance) is due to the red table cloth and red-painted wooden floor which were just behind him and under intense sunlight.

He was an unusual man with mostly untold stories!
