jtipton 0 Posted July 11, 2009 This was shot using fill flash to capture the vibrance of the flowers and Highlight the wheat in the foreground. Comments, critiques and ratings are always appreciated. Link to comment

blue-olympus 0 Posted July 12, 2009 The flash did it's job well here, adding that extra light louch to the foreground flowers and bringing out the lovely blues and purples. Because there is no distant focal point in this scene it emphasizes the vastness of this wheat field....splendid shot mate....Regards Link to comment

GailAnthonyHarmer 6 Posted July 13, 2009 You've given yet another 'face' to your 'Palouse' for me to admire Jim...lovley shot with the flowers brightening up the landscape and a great contrast to the wheat...the clouds look dark....like a storm coming....Do you ever experience bad storms over this area (tornadoes and the like??)...we had a bad one for a short bit yesterday afternoon...almost felt like we were in the middle of some wild 'whirling' wind..it wasn't blowing in any one direction....hail...thunder that just 'took NO breaks..and oddly enough, no cracks of lightening as you'd expect. Luckily we just lost a few branches from trees. Last year we had a similar storm that ripped about 170 holes through the roof of your Gazebo(cloth top).......it's amazing what a man can do with 'GOOP' and that REAL SHINY EXPENSIVE ELECTRICAL TAPE.......... :+0 !!!! I'm so proud...no one else in the subdivision has a 'roof' as BEAUTIFUL as ours....! Link to comment
alpenglow 0 Posted July 13, 2009 yep... you nailed the lighting. Just the right amount of fill in the foreground complimented by amazing natural lighting on the land and in the sky. Couldn't be any better. Mike Link to comment

Christal1664882414 0 Posted July 30, 2009 WOW!!! This is really one of your finest images to date! It can't get much more beautiful than this! The lighting is outstanding, and the purple contrasting with the greens and deep blue-gray skies makes this a knock-dead gorgeous image. Now don't get mad at me, but I have to tell you that to my eye the horizon is a tad crooked. Keep in mind that I'm the kind of person who can measure 'with my eye' and see something if it's only off by 1/8 of an inch. I'm kind of nuts about that. :-) But raise the right side just a tad, and then I'll be a happy camper! (I didn't trust myself on this one, so I actually got out the ruler!) I told you I was nuts! :-) Link to comment
ndj 0 Posted April 25, 2010 Wow I hadn't seen this one before Jim. Excellent image! Excellent composition, superb colors, excellent lighting. The choice of fill flash was a good one. The flowers pop nicely as a result of the additional light provided by the flash. Superb work! All the best,Neil Link to comment
