Simple but effective and in harmony. My personal opinion is that perhaps a cropp where the stones come closer to the lower corners and keeping the same volume for the sky would accentuate the "lioght" feeling?

Funny you should say that Piet, that was the idea I had in mind. The problem was the width of the slipway and the height I had. To get the slipway into the corners I would have to be much higher. Using a wider angle lens just made everything look too 'whacky' and stretched so I opted to let the classic V shape slide and just let the viewer concentrate on texture and muted colours.

This is one of the most beautiful photos I have ever seen. The subject and the colors are fantastic.

I'm with Piet on this one. Those colours are really beautiful and make teh image for me cropped or not. I'm not sure that is what my stent looks like but I'm willing to believe it.
