A series. Photographed at the south of the city. A different surrounding.

Thanks for viewing

The neighborhood has such character that even the t-shirts and garbage pails add to the graffiti-like feel.

Jeff, you are right, the neighborhood is loaded with graffiti, I think that there is no corner without it ,and very nice graffiti artists....

Vincenzo, thanks for stopping by and your suggestion, I tried it while post processing and liked it better ,composition-wise, with that wall on the L, because it is like a frame , fits the R side and emphasis better the light on the upper L side. I did crope half of it though and uploaded the correction ,but it takes time at PN to show. Thanks again, very much appreciated

Pnina, a good street/neighborhood scene. I like the graffiti, and I think that the wall on the left adds to it. If I were to crop anything it would be a little off the top as I find that distracts a bit from the human elements below (particularly the wooden scaffolding top center left).

The graffitti and wires animate this spot, bringing in many connections and flavors of Southern Tel Aviv marketplace life. I also like the signs of domesticity bathed in sunshine -- though looking dormant and sleepy, as does the marketplace. Harmonious colors as well.

Roger, this is the neighborhood, colorful and a bit cluttered.... I wanted to leave it as is...;-))

Donna, you visited there some years ago, I was not there for a long time, but I think that the streets there became the " canvases" of the graffity artists....;-))

Piet, thanks for stopping by and liking

I like general concept, the light in left upper corner, diagonal compo, it is colourful, so real. Maybe I am in another mood...

The bit of wall on the left gives me a sense of the photographer, so I like it. As this is a street shot and such an amalgam of objects, scribbles, and colors, it doesn't seem like it really needs cropping. It's not the type of photograph I would look at and say it needs organizing or cleaning up. The sunlight falling at upper left does give more life to that area of the photo than to others, especially since there are no highlights to speak of in the bottom portion of the shot. It's almost as if we're being shown that there's more life out there than what goes on in this alleyway.

Thanks, you are in another mood ....it is for sure another possibility ( yours....;-)), but the character of this corner for me , is the color, disorder, and the late afternoon light.....the B/W composition( a good one though) takes the autentic mood out of this place , and the light is even. As it is a learning site it is nice to know what viewers think. thanks for taking the time!

We wrote simultaneously, so I think that your evaluation fits my way of looking at, and photographing this corner, and your point of view fits I think to what I wrote to Vladimir. It is an anusual old colorful artists graffity "canvas"' as I wrote before, B/W imo works less to create the mood as I saw it. Thanks I appreciate your point of view.

I talked only about cropping and a tendency to organize this or clean it up which seemed not in keeping with the shot itself. Though different from Pnina's vision, I think a good b/w version of this could be very interesting. The key for me is exploring the environment and showing that we should care about what the men are doing.

I'll chime in and agree with Fred. There is nothing I would change in this street gallery of a back alley. This is life, a complicated, colorful mess that's perfect just as it is.

I definitely like it better in colour as it enhances & shows the art of graffti more realistically. The clutter fits in & I agree with you on the left wall as a natural frame to the pic.

I like this shot the it's presented, the wall on the left gives a boundary away from the street. I can either enter or not.

Excellent capture, Pnina. The scene, colors and details are great. Very good shot!

PS.- I prefer the colors version. Regards
