pietje 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Strange and impressive serie you are working on. It seems I have missed a lot from your's recently. Sorry, in summer there are so many things to do outside. Great to see you found new themes to feed your always hungry imagination. Groeten, ... Piet Link to comment
Guest Guest Posted July 9, 2009 Again I am taken aback Ben with the work here a lot of development and process and layers to create and render a piece such as this. The thought provking aspects of the jester in rags is indeed a well balance design and one that is not easily achieved regardless of the amount of experience you have ... Well done sir... Phil_Light 776 Posted November 24, 2009 Master of the photographic illusion. I am constantly amazed at the degree by which your imagery becomes so believable as concrete reality. Even though I am fully aware that I am confronted by a master illusion. Superb story telling as well. I'd love for you to describe a little of your preparation for this images' creation. How much was hard imagery and how much may have been altered to enhance the overall illusion? Already in my favorites! Link to comment
ben.goossens 0 Posted November 26, 2009 The images I make now, is a logic follow-up from what I made as an Art Director in advertising where surreal artists where a source of inspiration. I have +- 20 PS experience in montages. For this particular kind of image, I waited 3 years to finish it. The person was a snapshot in the street some years ago. When, I was in Holland is saw those landscapes from Anton Pick and I know immediately they would fit perfectly to that kind of persons, which I have extracted from a background before. I made a lot of shootings from the Anton Pick landscapes, made the best choice and added with PS an other sky and the strange person, blurred some parts, control of light direction, changed the colors so they worked perfectly together...used the dodge and burn tool in the landscape on a copied layer... many hours of work!!! I hope I have been clear en helpful. P.S.: All my PS montages a made with my own shootings and a lot of fantasy!! Best regards, Ben Link to comment
