aarkp 2 Posted July 9, 2009 there were several children in the verandah with her, working at paper crafts, but she was lost in her own thoughts... she is a child of the slums... Link to comment

davidorea 1 Posted July 12, 2009 For moments I prefer this version, for moments I prefer the color version. Anyhow, the scene with this lovely girl is great. Best regards! Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 12, 2009 i was inclined to post only this version as i like this more...it is a more powerful photograph... but at the last minute decided on posting both... color softens the emotional impact and makes it more palatable... thank you Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 12, 2009 It is a very touching portrait, I think that the B/W is more apropriate to her inner moment, I do agree with William's suggestion ( the colored version) to crop the upper part( that does not add to the composition) and create a landscape form, it will bring her closer to the viewer . Good soft light and B/W conversion Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 12, 2009 thank you... i have uploaded a cropped version... and given the three photographs a separate folder Link to comment
pnital 36 Posted July 13, 2009 I cropped it only from the upper part ( not the L side as was in the colored version)and did a tiny rotation CCW. I Hope you will like it. Link to comment
Not Here 93 Posted July 22, 2009 Rajat.... Ahhhh, I missed this one when posted, but I'm so glad to find it now. A portrait with understated intensity, drama, but at the same time, touching. While I also prefer the cropped version, the image as posted is very strong... Mike Link to comment

Not Here 93 Posted July 23, 2009 Rajat.... No pressure. I, too, comment on a very wide range of subject matter and whatever catches my eye. I do, however, like to occasionally check out what is new with the circle of persons I contact the most. Thank you for your support... Mike Link to comment
smigliori 0 Posted July 24, 2009 Rajat, my poor English does not allow me to criticize how I would like this beautiful image. I would just tell you that you capture the inner life of individuals so masterful... Sincere compliments my friend. Stefano. Link to comment

smigliori 0 Posted July 24, 2009 My pride prevents me to surrender the weapons! I have to organize myself .... I will take more time but I will try to build my criticism in English. But not tonight .... Now I go out with my daughters to do a bicycle tour. So I wish you a good evening ... (if there it's evening... I do not know!) What time is it in your town now? To avoid mistakes, I say goodbye :-) Warms regards my friend. Stefano. Link to comment

human images 4 Posted March 28, 2011 Rajatnearly two years later from your upload I feel lucky to find this accomplished, soulful portrait - truly a beautiful piece of work. The subtle light, so tactfully applied, manages the depth of feeling just right. This is one for all seasons. Link to comment
