something that i really like about this photograph...something that doesn't work for me. love the muted, beautiful colors...and the minimal lighting, i think it is the composition that doesn't quite work for me. seems to be too much of the subject matter (flowers, thistles, etc.) concentrated into one area....an area that forms a rectangle...turned at 45degrees. leaves a feel that it has been positioned and unnatural. the area at left border...mid way down, at first glance looks like motion blur, but a closer look says reflectancy...not sure which, but a bit distracting. very difficult to describe much of what i see as things that might be better. all in all...i see this picure as having great potential...great concept...but falls short in arrangement/positioning of key elements.
