dabar 0 Posted July 7, 2009 A stylized representation of the ear-canal as seen from behind theeardrum with the membrane removed for clarity. What you see is thebone matrix and an arc-like flash of pain produced by a burst of 120+decibel sound at the eardrum location, with the ear canal behind.I would also hope that one might find the image pleasing withoutknowing, or thinking of, my inspiration or intentions in the design ofthe image. Please let me know YOUR thoughts... gungajim 75 Posted July 8, 2009 Dave, I like this image on its own merits as an abstract. However, I appreciate your taking the time to explain its origins. GJ Link to comment
raybrizzi 0 Posted July 8, 2009 Yes, I've seen this myself, at Starbucks when they turn on the blender machines. Except those are more like 200 db. It is a very creative abstract. Link to comment
dabar 0 Posted July 8, 2009 I try to give some info regarding either significant facts or my thoughts regarding the inspiration for a photo or abstract image. Too often I see photos posted that just beg to be explained as to who, what, when, where etc..The NOISE level almost everywhere here in the Philippines is above safe limits. It is common to find two, or more, outdoor entertainment venue's in close proximity with their sound-systems BLASTING at, or near, the clipping-distortion level. The result is a headache-inducing melange of sound!Thank you for your comments. Link to comment
