Male Yellow Robin (winter 01)

I've taken the advice of a more experienced friend and have tried not to

centre my subjects. Is this bird off centre enough to be aesthetically

pleasing?

Yes you have done well in the composition. Since you are following advice may I suggest you look up on Google a famous formula for subject placement. It is called the Rule of Thirds. I suspect you will immediately begin using it.
