whoz_the_man_huh 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Not sure if this makes sense but the image looks well-balanced to me. The wall patterns are also captured skilfully. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 6, 2009 in Manav Sadhna, Gandhi Ashram -- the Mahatma's trademark spinning wheel with the backdrop of a wall mural depicting his philosophy "The essence of all religions is one. Only their approaches are different." And there are other symbols... the banner in Gujarati (his mother tongue) can be paraphrased as -- the first necessary condition for doing true service is "atmashudhi" [approx. self-purification]... the placard over the door identifies the room as "satyam" [truth]... the low square wooden thing in the corner is a desk used even today by people who work sitting cross- legged in their "gaddis" [an office with a mattress on which all sit] Link to comment
