Thank you very much, Bernard, Jean-Marc, Dr. Didi, Sumon and Saad! These grow wild on the edges of the lake where I have a cabin.

Best regards!

This would be one of the nicest Iris images have seen in ages. Your composition is simple and effective. Really like the soft b/g and those mellow greys just help to highlight the entire flower. A very nice image here. Well done !

Thank you so very much, Roger! I'm gradually learning that, as in all of photography, the details of light, color, composition and focus as well as the choice of subject presentation, angles and background can make or break a flower image. I have taken many, many shots of irises and I have only been pleased with one...this one. It is so very nice that you like it, too!

I'm honored,

Dick

Irises are such beautiful flowers and you have portrayed it quite nicely. Subtle color and tonality of bg are complimentary to subject.

Thank you, Monte! The lake has more than birds...and the lens does surprisingly well with flowers:-)

Have a good night!

Hi Dick, Very beautiful.I took some photos of my irises also, but I have not had a chance to look at them yet as I took them with my film camera and have not scanned them onto the computer yet. I love the DOF and the colors. cher..

It looks so real on my screen that I almost feel that I could touch it. Great one!

Thank you very much, Cher and Kathy! I have always loved these flowers and I've found it to be very challenging trying to capture the essence of them.

Have a great day!

I like the way the iris in the background seems to mirror the one in the foreground. Nicely done.
