davidmccracken 2 Posted June 26, 2009 This is one of the most charming shots I have seen in a while. That said, I do not like the post processing and I am not sure what you were trying to do by processing it in this way. Link to comment

steveshinn 0 Posted July 5, 2009 Wonderful capture of the moment. I would suggest a much tighter crop on this great image. Link to comment
ken_thalheimer 3,739 Posted July 8, 2009 Ellen, what a fantastic subject for a very good environmental portrait. At her advanced age it clearly shows the "Love" of her daily life. As someone else had mentioned, I would crop this much tighter to remove a lot of background clutter. It'll make her so much stronger Link to comment

beaz 0 Posted August 5, 2009 I like the image because of the story it tells. The scene has a character and richness to it. I can't agree on doing a much tighter crop, because what may seem like clutter at first look appears to give clues about the subject's life, her faith, her love of beauty, love of family, the simplicity of her lifestyle. It brings me to imagine a whole spectrum from her view of the world, to the past experiences and passions that made her what she is. Thanks for sharing. - Jerry Link to comment
anuarpatjane 0 Posted August 13, 2009 An striking image! The texture in the wall makes it look a bit surreal, and I like the outcome. Best regards! Link to comment

pnital 36 Posted October 14, 2009 It is a very interesting photo with a lot of information, Her age, and what she has accumulated during what looks a good long life. As it is, our accumulated objects and surrounding are really representing us and our interests during our life time. It all shows here.It is a bit busy with ellements but a very genuine story and work of yours. As a technical effect I like the angle , shapes , and diagonal floor tiles , leading us in,to the way she stands near all the interest subject in her life. The light comming especially from the R( or upper part ) and the shadows it cast are softly lighting the scene. The only small nit I have is the very dark shadow under the table , selectively lightinhg it a tiny bit (PS, I tried it....;-)) )will even enhance this very nice documentary photo. I observed it for a long time, thanks. Link to comment
