Working Men series

i asked the mechanic if i could photograph him, he assented with a smile

and continued working... i got this before the owner of the shop realized

what i was doing and came out shouting (there is an adjacent shop that

sells bicycles where he sits)... no more photographs

Rajat,

I like the revised version much better than the initial version.

Even though the highlights have been blown out somewhat in this shot, it makes items more apparent, especially the axles (or whatever they are) on the ground at the mechanic's feet.

Unfortunately, I don't see anything you can do to prevent your viewers from getting a hearty clothed mooning from the gentleman adjacent to your subject! This version makes his posterior even more apparent, but I still like it better.

Ryan, nice to have you drop by. Be thankful it's clothed... imo it (the man bending down) plays an essential role in the composition

This is a definitely a very interesting photo that is intriguing street photo. It made me want to know more about Ahmedabad, India. Of your two versions of “The Mechanic”, this one is my favorite. Anyone who can re-spoke the front wheel of a bicycle is someone I tip my hat to. I like this photo a great deal.

A really Masterful image that captures the essence of the man . This Photo like the rest of your street portraits reveals the "soul" of the subject to the viewer .

About the only thing that I don't like from this photo is that I did not take it .

Photographic work like this however motivates me to go out and shoot.

Best Regards

Tried to give it a well deserved 7/7 , but your generous rating on one of my pictures is preventing me from doing this .

Thank you !
