A while back a photographer named Rankin showed his outstanding

work with females, mostly nudes, and this was taken during the opening

of his exhibit, with the woman, foreground, attending as part of the

reception, for what I felt was an interesting photographic juxtaposition. I

am interested in your viewpoint: If you rate harshly or very critically,

please post a helpful and constructive comment; please share your

superior photographic knowledge to help improve my photography.

Thanks! Enjoy! John

I value critiques by you at several times those of most ordinary members.

I am glad this pleased you, just as so many of yours have pleased me so much (think bum with his laptop and so many, many, many others)

Cheers from SFV at the current time where I'm bedridden with a kidney stone soon to pass and recovering now or soon.

I actually have kept this in the 'deep freeze' for almost two years, for 'political' reasons. I'm glad I took it out. For me, it's high in my craft, and no reason to keep it hidden, on reflection.

A very interesting image John... especially after your explanation of it. You caught her with a great expression too. Thank you for sharing!

Best,

This photo is meant to be 'strange' -- it is my 'surreal side come forth.

The woman, right, in truth is quite attractive, and I only caught her at an awkward moment, but we all have such moments.

For my money, this IS a work of art.

Thank you for sharing your view; I agree.

And if you follow my posted work, you know I a am not a booster of all photos I post. This one I am. I only wish the lighting had been somewhat better.

This is one for the ages, and apologies for the poor patron, right, genuinely meant, for she was really very nice and greatly attractive, caught otherwise in the snap of a shutter.

Without that expression, this photo would not have been worthy of posting. The expression is what makes it surreal and makes for another sort of a Crosley Ironic Juxtaposition, a theme, I've been working on since I started my photography at age 21 and abandoned for about 35 years, then resumed, the same theme intact, only better developed now.

Pretty photo of model posed, representing perfection juxtaposed with pretty gallery attender, not posed and caught at the most surreal moment, when she looks possible her worst (my apologies to her but also my thanks for being a good sport in becoming part of a work of art here.)

She really was quite attractive, and even more so, in my book, than the Barbi-like mannequin, background,
