Any thoughts on how I could have shot this better? We used window light.

seems fine to me in a middling sort of way... have you considered turning this into a monochrome? the other one, too... you didn't pep her up enough (no smile)... don't care for the way her hair falls on her left shoulder... a tad more light (glow) maybe...

About her hair, I've been noticing that, too. We shot a year ago, and it's beginning to dawn on me that she hasn't trimmed it since. Nothing negative to be implied by that, just an observation, but it does make her hair a big part of the shot, doesn't it? She has braces on her teeth, so that's why the lack of smiles. Try not to look at all of these shots as a group, but as individuals and they'll view better.
