Jellyfish. New England Aquarium

Image is not cropped. I could have cloned out the distracting red

light on the right and the specks floating in the water near the

bottom. I chose not to.

Canon 5D 24-105 1/30 F4.5 ISO 800 60MM aperture priority. Blacks

darkened and vibrance increase in LightRoom.

I didn't crop this one but I did rotate it ninety degrees. This critter was a slow mover. Prints of this image are available to purchase at:

www.harrington.zenfolio.com

For the print version I did crop out the red light and some of the water specks.

Well done, don't remove anything, it adds depth and authenticity. Get rid of that number it is really awful. Is that your contact number? you could add your email on the caption or even in the comment section.

Sorry the number bothers you Sacha. I often sell rights to my images and I want my contact information part of the image.

Also, did you know that some devious Webmasters pull images into their "for-profit" sites which essentially violates copyright, especially when the image is used on a for profit site.

Having contact and copyright info on image borders helps discourage "hotlinking" as it's called. Some hosting servers prevent hot-linking. Photo.net does not.

It's possible my bold contact info might keep my images from being featured on photo.net's main page, oh well.

oh, got it. I always thought that putting something on the web is taking the risk that some bad seeds would take it, even modify it, and claim originality :/

I see your point though.
