Lighting: a kicker light on her hair to separate it form the background would really help.

Posing: don't show the full backside of the hand, especially on a female model, spin her hand would definitely make this shot a whole lot better.

 

Overall: Great emotion capture, and amazing eye work. Good job.

This photo kept drawing me back. I'm not sure that a light on the hair would be an improvement. The visual impact of the eyes, and the pose of the hand in the picture makes this a particularly good shot. The void or black space adds to the overall effect.
