This is a *fantastic* photo. I can almost imagine the series of events you describe with the ant "drumming" on the aphid. Great work!

An inspiring and worthy shot. My absolute favorite here on photo.net, and honestly that I have ever seen.

I really enjoyed seeing this. Having spent the last year moving up the learning curve of macro/microphotography, I would be very pleased to have taken this photo. Thanks. Jack Dodd jbizarre@aol.com

This photo is one of the best insect macros Ive ever seen; it is one of the things that motivated me to start dealing with photography myself.

Wow. This is just plain perfect. Amazing what you were able to accomplish with patience and clearly a good bit of skill. And I agree with some of the other posters -- the story makes it even better. I too can visualize everything you described.

This definitely isn't just a macro shot. It's ant-size photo journalism! Incredible.

Everything combines to make this a beautiful shot.

Lighting is wonderful with an ethereal quality that is found on many macros. However, the activities show here really do bring it beyond a simple macro. The number of activities you show really does show a whole other culture.

It really gives us a glimpse into the behaviour of the aphids and ants.

Simply beautiful, this is one of my all-time favourite photos. Possibly my favourite to date.
