This is a very interesting and unusual image to my eyes. Here in Canada we have old rusted out cars, trucks and all sorts of farm equipment abandoned and rusting away, but no tanks. It is strange to see this rusty old war machine looking so harmless with weeds and flowers overtaking it, and an innocent puppy sitting next to it. Good work.

yes, the gun barrel of the tank boldly parallels the longer section of the bridge... the dog is the 'icing' on the 'cake'... and i like the vegetation almost smothering the great bulk of the metal ruin

Loooks like a retired gang member rotting away in his weed infested obsolescence. Wonder how many kids grew up without fathers because of the rotten work this useless hunk of metal did in its day.

I just finished reading a book about the American occupation of Vietnam, so the first thing I thought of when I looked at this photo (with the cantilever bridge and the old Soviet tank) was the Long-Bien bridge in Hanoi (which the US air force bombed repeatedly).

Then I realized it's the wreckage of a totally different war.

I didn't notice the dog so much as I noticed the damage to the tank, bad enough to ram a piece of steel down into the path of the treads, but not bad enough, or so it looks, to kill anybody inside.

So I came away wondering who knocked the tank out and what "Bosh" is referring to.

I even don't know whose tank it was and I don't think it realy matters, I took the photo for a dog was patiently sitting there. The second thought was how many bridges could be built by the steel made of melted tanks...Thank you.

Vladimir,

What a great shot. I love the composition of the take and the vegetation. It reminds me of the tv show here called "Life after People".

My first thought when I saw the picture those was..."Who/What is that dog waiting so patiently for?"

Once again more great work and well done!!!
