jeff.grant 0 Posted June 22, 2009 I'm struggling with the story. She's fainted at the fact that the skirting boards need painting? This one just doesn't work for me. Her face is overwhelmed by the dress etc. Link to comment

dougityb 0 Posted June 22, 2009 Thanks Hayder, it looks ok in black and white. There's something nice about the honey-colored wood that is lost in the black and white, though. Still, I wouldn't want to keep something in color just because I like the way the background looks....or would I? Not sure. Link to comment

aeg 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Lovely composition. The angle of the shot and the distortion of the lens adds a dynamic feature to the composition, Love the position and pose of the young lady, she has very nice warm tones and her dress compliments the color of her complexion. The image has a fairy book look to it and I find the line in the floor very pleasing. Regards and thank you for your comments on my images and portfolio. Link to comment
soniam 6 Posted June 23, 2009 This is a perfect example of why I needed a wide angle lens. Fabulous capture. Very dramatic and Superb lighting. The window looks as though it is crooked, not vertically but horizontally. Is that because of the wide angle distortion? Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Sonia, thanks. Thanks very much. The distortion is caused by the lens, that's right. I hadn't noticed it. Do you think it's too severe? I hope not, because fixing it would distort the figure. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 23, 2009 Anthony, thanks. Colleen will be very pleased with your description of this picture. Link to comment
mg 0 Posted June 24, 2009 This angle makes a lot more sense to me with the face in the window... Otherwise I'd have turned her differently... Link to comment
