Southern White Faced Owl
flashNB: Ambient exposure was about iso640, 2.8 @ 1/15. I decided to underexpose it by about two stops, by shooting at 2.8 @ 1/50. This was because the lens was already at 200mm, and on a crop camera there was very little chance I can get a sharp shot. Thankfully at 1/50, with a burst of 4, one came back sharp. (All praise the advent of image stabilization) Unfortunately, because I underexposed it, alot of the fine detail is lost. I should have simply upped the ISO to 1600, very dumb of me. My tests indicate that shooting at high ISO is far superior than underexposing. Heat of the moment what can I say.
