Kess

Kess is a model I have photographed before. She put on these crazy

shoes and posed by a stairwell window. I couldn't resist getting in close

with my lens at 28mm.

I LOVE IT!!!!! It reminds me of some of Manray's work.

Disturbing image, well done.

Its an interesting pose but this model needs to eat a sandwich or two every day. Her right ilium (hip) looks like its ready to break through the skin. For me, that takes away quite a bit from the photo.

This image grabs me and kinda twists my stomach. The perspective makes her look disfigured and malformed, but besides needing to eat more she is a normal girl on the outside. This takes me to think beyond the image that she is twisted and malformed in a psychological sense. I love pictures that make that jump. Another point that contributes to the strange feeling I get from this shot is the way her bent leg is highlighted, while her face is pretty flat.

One side note, I hate that her foot is cut off at the bottom of the frame.

Yes! A great black and white shot indeed! I love it too. I might have liked to see her right foot too.
