Rajat,

beautiful! I am curious to know: what kind of bird is this?

Best regards, my friend.

Stefano.

El, Dara, Stefano -- thank you.

Dara, some friends come over via the terrace, some saunter in through the windows. A few use the entrance door to my apartment. And there are many who drop in at their leisure, and my continuing pleasure, through the webs of the internet.

Stefano, this is the common Indian Myna (Mynah), a member of the starling family. Acridotheres tristis.

Wonderfully composed...and perfect timing. Thanks also for stopping by and rating my "Lighter side of conflict" image...I appreciate it. Jeff.

Jeff, thanks.

Bruegel, spot on... the area where I live is perhaps one of the greener areas of the city and that is not saying much... and now they're widening the roads...

A clear delicate image with message of balance. We learn to balance in this unpredictable world. We are in Huracaine season, and the is ANA & Bill nearing us. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO we learn to balance and hope for the best. Warm regards.

Jorge, thank you my friend. I hope and pray the hurricanes fizzle out before they make landfall.

this is my favourite out of your collection.  So simple, yet so expressive.  The bird is positioned well and its pose is ideal for this photo. It looks like it's ready to take a leap into the cityscape.  The DoF is perfect.  Any more blur and it would be difficult to tell what those things are.  Any sharper and it would compete with the FG.  The bird is sharp, clear, and reasonably detailed.  Good job for a digicam.  Cheers, Micheal

great focus!

Thank you for your visit.

There was a conference in Ahmedabad last year in July, about participation in disaster management, unfortunately I could not go, my boss presented the paper.
