aarkp 2 Posted June 20, 2009 Thanks Ozgur, and you're right about the feet... but alas, the hyperactive child had no interest in my photographic activities Link to comment

jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted July 23, 2009 A bonding moment of intimacy and you recorded it for us. Thank you. Deva and Larry say HOLA and thank you and happy to meet you. Is Namaste and Namaskar the same? Take good care. Warm regards. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted July 23, 2009 Hi Jorge! They're both the same, and both are formal. Not for friends. I usually say "Hi!" as all my friends know English. So... as your friends are my friends: "Hi!" to Deva and Larry. And thanks. You're a pillar... Link to comment
jorge_fernandez3 1 Posted August 17, 2009 Interesting you call me a pillar, because in 1984, I change jobs and my boss refer to me as a wall and a pillar. As you know or perhaps not, in spanish Pillar is a female name an is usually spelled Pilar, it means the same. In that Job that I move to, my new boss, nick name me Mother Teresa, and I love it. Two years ago my new boss, once again, started calling me Mother Teresa. I know Mother Teresa was not indian but she did all her work in Calcuta and I feel that she is a server to India. Warm regards. Jorge Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted August 18, 2009 I had no idea of its Spanish connotation. I meant it as in the English expression: a pillar of support. Mother Teresa, as far as most of my countrymen are concerned was as much of an Indian as anybody. She was born and grew up elsewhere but lived all her adult life in this country. She was revered when alive and is still revered today. Link to comment
