Lannie Thats how "we" look when our better days are in the past.... even the trees have had better days,,,( we were young and energetic.....;-)) this house looks like having a nice history( at least). ,....Nice documentation Lannie.
Thanks, Pnina. It could also be a broken-down horse rather than a broken-down house. This place was only one room wide from end to end. I wonder how on earth it has been anchored well enough to secure it against all the storms that it has surely endured. --Lannie
A marvelous documentary image .
Years past, this place represented a home for someone or some family.
Best Regards my friend, Mike
Mike, it is quite remarkable to think of people living in places like these, although they surely must have. (Depression era? I have no idea.)
This sits in a pasture off SC 28 between McCormick and Anderson, South Carolina. I have not been back in over a decade to see if it is still standing. I wonder if there were steps and a functional door. It can get cold in the Piedmont of the Carolinas and Georgia, and there is nothing underneath. Maybe the dogs slept there.
Note the depression running from the door in the general direction of the camera. Do you think that there was a path that eroded in times past?
