Expectation...

another in my recent series on maternity portraits

Very nice soft light and atmosphere. Nice composition. The pose is ok but she seems more worried/concerned than happy. I realise that these are difficult times and there is a lot of concerns about bringing a new life to this world but i would still have liked to see some happiness in her face. Overall nice shot. the caption seems perfectly apt for the photograph, her expression and the way she holds her hand convey exactly that feeling... the photograph is finely balanced in composition, light and color.. perhaps she is not smiling but that is not to say that she is unhappy or sad; an expectant worry perhaps, but no more...
