dougityb 0 Posted June 19, 2009 I know parts of it are a little fuzzy, but how about everything else? Link to comment
jeff.grant 0 Posted June 20, 2009 It looks a bit red, and dark to my eye. I love the eye behind the hair, though. Link to comment
jtipton 0 Posted June 20, 2009 Great shot. I don't see the red and if anything I think maybe a tad softer light on her face. Take it as a very humble opinion. Beautiful regardless and best wishes-Jim Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 20, 2009 thanks Jeff. I scrinted this on someone else's computer, then posted it to photonet. When I brought it home it looked pretty dark, and a little red, so I guess you and I have the same kind of monitor. Jim, apparently, has a different one, more like what I used. Thanks Jim. aarkp 2 Posted June 20, 2009 Jim's softer light suggestion appeals to me. On my monitor I see more red than I'd like to. But if I had not read the others' comments I think I would have assumed it was her make-up -- her arm appears fine on my monitor. I like the photograph but don't think its anywhere as good as the ones you took of the students. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 20, 2009 softer light...hmmmm, I guess it wouldn't hurt. I don't have much of a problem with this light, though. I think she looks gorgeous. The red, .... I don't think I've ever claimed to have a good eye for color, so it might be a problem, indeed, but where do you see it? In her skin? All over? I think her arm could be a lot less tanned, but her face looks ok. Link to comment
aarkp 2 Posted June 21, 2009 The arm is tanned, neck and upwards is whiter... perhaps because of which the little redness in the face, where the cheekbone is, gets noticed. A little redness on the forehead but that seems natural. Most marked on left cheek. But as I said, if I had not read the others' comments I would have just assumed make-up. And Doug, I'm a novice on these matters. In PN, Mark Chartrand is the expert on portraiture. Link to comment
dougityb 0 Posted June 21, 2009 Mark Chartrand! I hope he notices the catch lights, and the less obtrusive logo. Link to comment
